Yala health chief says Zika spread under control
Yala chief public health officer Doctor Uthitsak Hirankul said the Zika virus spread in the province has been under control after two Zika patients were detected in the province.
He said health officials in the province had sprayed insecticide to kill mosquitoes within five days after the patients were spotted and no more cases were detected within 14 days of the defection of the two cases.
But the Yala public health office would continue to monitor the situation and would like to urge the people with fever, rashes, joint pains and red eyes to see doctors immediately.
