Former PAD leader Sondhi’s wife dies

Former PAD leader Sondhi’s wife dies

The wife of former People’s Alliance for Democracy leader Sondhi Limthongkul died of cancer Monday morning, a leading member of the new-defunct PAD said.

Parnthep Puapongphan posted on his Facebook wall that Chantip Limthongkul died at 5:30 at Bangkok Hospital.
Parnthep said Chantip has been receiving treatment at the hospital for last-stage cancer since April. She died of complications that caused her blood pressure to drop and her heart to stop while she was receiving blood infusion. Parnthep said Chantip had announced her wish for doctors not to try to revive her.
Sondhi is serving a jail term after the Supreme Court convicted him for violating the Securities Exchange Commission act by falsifying a board’s decision document to obtain a loan.
