Paiboon to speed up rice-scheme legal actions
Justice Minister Paiboon Koomchaya would next week hold a meeting with agencies concerned with investigation in rice pledging scheme cases to discuss how to expedite its legal operations over wrongdoers.
Paiboon oversees the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), which is investigating on 850 cases relating to the rice-pledging scheme.
Agencies to be invited to attend the meeting were PACC, Office of the Auditor-General, National Anti-Corruption Commission, Anti Money Laundering Office, Department of Special Investigation, Finance Ministry, Commerce Ministry, The Office of the Prime Minister and prosecutors.
“I will try to speed up the legal process to file lawsuit against the wrongdoers,” Paiboon said.
