Razer confirms THX purchase
Razer, the US-based global lifestyle brand for gamers, Tuesday confirmed it had acquired the majority of the assets of THX and brought on board the management and employees of the American company.
Financial details of the transaction, which closed earlier this month, were not disclosed.
Razer co-founder and chief executive officer Min-Liang Tan said the acquisition would allow his company to reinforce its leadership in gaming and extend the brand into broader areas of entertainment, while at the same time empowering THX to develop into a global powerhouse, independently.
THX will operate as an independent start-up under its own management and apart from the ongoing business of its parent company.
