Thai workers in Singapore pay respect to His Majesty

Singapore employers hired shuttle buses to take some 400 Thai workers to the Thai embassy on Sunday to pay respect to His Majesty King Bhumbol Adulyadej, Channel News Asia reported.

The news website reported that the worker were among some 2,500 people in Singapore who paid their last respects to the late King at the embassy on Sunday.
"Talking about their king, they really respect (him)," Channel News Asia quoted business owner Jack Ang, who helped run the five-hour shuttle bus service, as saying. “So we businessmen over here, we try to help out, give them a free shuttle service."
The Thai embassy opened its doors for the community to pay their respects on Friday and will be open to the general public from next week. Those who wish to pay tribute to the king can do so from Oct 17 to 21 from 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm.
