Prayut composes song to comfort Thais
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Wednesday released a new single “Hope &Faith” to give moral support to Thai people to get through a diffuclt time.
Though launched after the passing of His Majesty the King Bhumibol, government spokesman Lt Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the PM had written the lyrics two months ago but passed it on to the Royal Thai Army Band Department to compose melody and complete the production.
He refused to explain what message Prayut was trying to convey.
“Hope &Faith” is the third piece composed by the junta head since the National Council for Peace and Order staged the coup in 2014. The lyrics contain the message encouraging the Thai people to stay in harmony and have faith in order to achieve whatever they hoped for.
