NLA whips hold urgent meeting to consider special agenda
The National Legislative Assembly (NLA) whips started a confidential meeting at 10 am Tuesday, one hour before the NLA will hold a meeting at 11 am to deliberate a special agenda from the Cabinet.
The whips' meeting at the Parliament was chaired by the NLA president Pornpetch Wichitcholchai.
Prior to the meeting, Pornpetch denied to give a press brief, only smiled and nodded before he entered the meeting room.
Secretary-general of the prime minister General Vilas Arunsri, was also seen attending the meeting.
According to correspondents, Vilas, who is not the NLA's whips, joined the confidential meeting to forward "messages" from the Cabinet which has just finished its meeting on the special agenda.
