Will states Luang Phor Koon donated body to Koan Kaen University

The late Luang Phor Koon Parisuttho did donate his body to the Khon Kaen University’s for medical students to study, his will stated.

The will was reviewed again following reports that his relatives wanted to take back the body.
The will was signed on June 25, 2000 to donate his body to the KKU's educational use and then have his body cremated to avoid 'burden to others' or anyone taking advantage of his body as well as preventing conflicts among disciples.
Luang Phor Koon, one of the country's most revered monks, passed away on May 16, 2015, at the age of 91 after a long history of illness.
The 2000 will was signed by four witnesses being KKU executive Sukhachat Kerdpol, disciple Pratheep Wongkancahanarat, Wat Ban Rai layman committee member Thawat Reungrai and KKU legal expert Naowarat Sangkankhamhaeng. It stated that the monk donated his body to the KKU's Faculty of Medicine for educational use after which the KKU would host a simple funeral for him in the same manner as other body donors. The will also required KKU to have his body cremated in Khon Kaen and to float the ashes and bones in  Mekong River in Nong Khai province as appropriate.
