Anti-Corruption Foundation focuses on grassroots level

Anti-Corruption Foundation focuses on grassroots level
The Anti-Corruption Foundation will join with provincial anti-corruption offices nationwide to promote “corruption clean villages” in all 76 provinces, as part of its annual programme to promote anti-corruption at a grassroots level.
The foundation, established last year by executives of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) who were attending strategic anti-corruption courses, and chaired by former NACC commissioner Vicha Mahakun, will help to promote and guide villages with good governance so that they are empowered and better able to counter corruption in their communities, according to officials.
The foundation has become an influential anti-corruption group since its founding. More than 40 organisations have signed memoranda of understanding with the foundation in the past year, with a total of 50 expected to sign. Youth groups have also been training in its anti-corruption courses.
The foundation emphasises planting an anti-corruption culture among young people and institutions.
