Use of VX in Kim killing 'blatant violation' of chemical treaty: Seoul

SEOUL - The use of the banned nerve agent VX in the killing of the North Korean leader's half-brother in Malaysia was a "blatant violation" of an international treaty, the South said Friday.

"We are shocked by the latest revelation by the Malaysian authorities that VX... was used in the death of Kim Jong-Nam," Seoul's foreign ministry said in a statement, calling it a "blatant violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and other international norms".
