BMA to provide free rabies vaccination to pets from March 6 to 17

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration will provide free rabies vaccination to dogs and cats from March 6 to 17, a senior BMA official said.

Doctor Chawin Sirinak, director of the BMA’s Health Department, said his department and 50 BMA district offices will dispatch 50 teams of officials to inject the vaccine for pets in Bangkok each day during the period.
He said the BMA’s Health Department has been providing free rabies vaccination twice a year in March and September since 2010.
Bangkok residents with dogs and cats that are at least three months old can seek the free vaccination for their pets from a mobile unit near their places. They can call 02-248-7417 and 02-245-3311 for more information.
