Cool Fahrenheit 93 upbeat radio industry still cool

“Cool Fahrenheit 93", Thailand’s No 1 radio station under RS Plc, today expresses its confidence in the survival of radio industry, according to managing director Prin Minsuksaeng.

He said that however, more listeners in the era of Thailand 4.0 like to shift their radio listening to the online platform.
The leading radio station has its business plan in 2017 with the “Living Young and Beyond” concept to penetrate Generation C customers.
It will allocate a Bt70-million budget into the implementation of the radio online measurement (ROM) system to measure real-time rating for the first radio station in Thailand to serve clients who are interested to buy online media. The station will develop a new version of application to strengthen its leadership among online audiences in the HD Plus system. This year, the station’s revenue is projected to exceed Bt500 million, maintaining its leadership position for 16 years.
Prin Minsuksaeng, managing director of Coolism Co, the operator of Cool Fahrenheit radio station, said adverting spending on radio this year is projected to grow modestly at 1-2 per cent from Bt6 billion last year as radio is the media that everybody can listen to everywhere. This figure reflects that radio is not dying and Thai people do not listen to radio less. However, more listeners during the era of Thailand 4.0 have switched to listen to radio from the online platform (On Air).
