Prayut expects growth in Primary Care Clusters

Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday said that he expected 6,500 Primary Care Cluster (PCC) teams to emerge by 2023 to provide healthcare services to local households.

Currently, there are more than 400 PCC teams, controlled by the Public Health Ministry, that provide care, medical services and advice to local people.
Prayut was speaking at Prachinburi, during a half-day visit to observe public healthcare management, including Thai traditional medical science and Thai herbal medicine production.
He said that Prachinburi, as a hub of Thai herbs, will become a model for other provinces, namely Chiang Rai in the North, Sakon Nakhon in the Northeast and Surat Thani in the South, to develop holistic herbal marketing and research.
