Pattaya to set up ‘great place of happiness for tourists’
Authorities have said they are establishing a “Happy Zone” with the goal of creating “a great place of happiness for tourists”.
The zone will be centred in the well-known Walking Street entertainment area of the seaside town.
Chon Buri police chief Pol Maj-General Somprasong Yentuam on Monday night visited the area and urged entertainment and business operators to be prepared for the campaign launch scheduled for March 25.
Somprasong said the idea was to make the resort town “a great place of happiness for tourists”.
He was speaking after chairing a meeting with representatives of 100 business operators in the Walking Street area at the Tangke Seafood Restaurant in south Pattaya.
