Hurry now! Free khanom chin on offer in Nakhon Si Thammarat
Tourists can enjoy free treat of khanom chin, or Thai-style curried spaghetti, in Nakhon Si Thammarat’s Thung Song district for a week.
The Thung Song Municipality on Saturday launched a fair to allow local residents and tourists to enjoy the dish at no cost.
The annual fair ahead precedes the Songkran festival, and residents have pooled their large pots of home-made curries.
Local mayor Songchai Wongwatcharadamrong said residents had contributed about 1.5 tonnes of curries for the fair and there was about 1,089 kilograms of spaghetti to be eaten.
There fair also features a khanom chin-eating competition.
