4 northern provinces hit by blackout
Northern provinces Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lamphun and Phayao suffered a power outage for over an hour because of a glitch at the third power station at Mae Moh in Lampang.
The blackout started at just after 10.00am. The Electricity Generating Authority restored power at 11.26am.
The Mae Moh office of Egat in Lampang announced that the glitch happened at the third power station in Mae Moh, resulting in it being unable to deliver power to the four provinces.
