Motorcyclist killed, three injured in road-racing crash
A young motorcyclist was killed and three others injured in an apparent road-racing accident on Bang Na-Trat highway late Wednesday night, police said.
Police were informed of the accident around midnight. The accident happened on the inbound highway at kilometre marker No 6 in front of Bang Na Tower.
Four motorcycles apparently crashed into one another, causing them to overturn and drag along the road for over 10 metres. One motorcyclist died at the scene while two were rushed to the nearby Piyamin Hospital and another to Vibha Ram Hospital.
Local residents told police that they heard the roar of motorcycles racing at the spot a few times before they crashed.
