Passenger van operators told to remove excess seats

Passenger vans operators on fixed routes must remove excess seats to meet the 13-seat limit or face a Bt5,000 fine and a licence suspension. The new requirement came into effect on Tuesday.

Deputy Transport Minister Pichit Akkharathit said the new law covered 15,808 passenger vans registered nationwide.
The deadline to comply with the new is Tuesday.
