Army chief in deep South following series of blasts
Army chief General Chalermchai Sittisart is visiting the deep South to offer moral support to security officials in the area following Wednesday’s coordinated bomb attacks.
Chalermchai’s trip to the South began on Saturday. He inspected the bomb sites and met with local officials. He also visited several checkpoints manned by police, volunteers and soldiers in Yala.
Chalermchai is scheduled to visit soldiers at several locations on Sunday.
