Pregnant assistant-teacher applicant collapses during exam

A pregnant assistant-teacher applicant collapsed on the second day of recruitment exams on Sunday morning.

Apinya Saengtan sat for the exam at a school in Chaiyaphum province even though she had experienced pregnancy-related bleeding earlier in the day. After seeing a doctor at about dawn, she had asked for permission to leave the hospital to sit for the exam.
At 8am, she arrived at the room where the exam was being administered without a problem, but at about 9.40am she fell unconscious, prompting others in the room to alert officials.
Apinya was then rushed to hospital and assured that she would be allowed to take the exam from the hospital.
