OfficeMate invests Bt300m in new stores, renovations

COL’s OfficeMate business, a top supplier of office equipment, information technology and office furniture, has invested more than Bt300 million in launching new storefronts and renovating existing locations so every store will be able to offer “one-stop business solutions”.

These efforts are in a bid to retain OfficeMate’s leading position in the hearts of business operators, from small and medium-sized enterprises to large corporations. The company has also targeted a 20-per-cent increase in customer walk-ins this year.
Wilawan Rerkriengkrai, managing director of COL’s OfficeMate business, said: “OfficeMate has plans to invest more than Bt300 million in opening new branches and renovating existing storefronts in 2017 under the concept of ‘Modern and Cosy Lifestyle Shopping’.
“We will offer warm and welcoming service and make the stores look more modern by focusing on zoning the layout and arranging related products together, which will make it easier for customers to look at and choose our products, and make model and specification comparisons.
“We will ensure that there is a wide range of products to suit every type of business regardless of whether they are SMEs or large corporations.
“We will also offer office-decorating ideas for personal workspaces and public areas to conduct business with their clients that will help increase sales. We hope to be a source of inspiration by presenting new ideas for our clients so they will find the shopping experience for office equipment and business supplies more pleasurable.”
OfficeMate plans to launch eight new locations across the country to ensure better coverage for its clients, as well as give eight existing storefronts a facelift. These plans are expected to be completed this year, so that OfficeMate has a total of 72 branches nationwide by the end of 2017.
Branches that have been renovated since the beginning of the year are in Midtown Asoke, CentralPlaza Rama II, Big C Bang Yai, and Zeer Rangsit. The company says they have all received positive feedback, as each store experienced a 20-to-30-per-cent increase in customer walk-ins.
The newest branch will be opened on May 19, OfficeMate Robinson Phetchaburi.
