Flood-hit school grateful to HM the King for classroom equipment

Children in a flood-affected school in Surat Thani were overjoyed and grateful for His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn’s kindness in granting them classroom equipment.

Privy Councillor Palakorn Suwannarat on Wednesday visited Watpengpradittaram in Khian Sa District, Surat Thani province, one of the flood-affected schools in the South, after the equipment was delivered.
The school received 180 desks and chairs for students and seven for teachers.
His Majesty the King yesterday granted scholarships and classroom equipment worth Bt40 million to 267 flood-affected schools in the South.
More than 11,115 sets of desks and chairs will be sent to the flood-affected schools by vocational colleges in the southern provinces.
Apart from the items, HM the King also funded scholarships for students affected by the flooding in the South from December 1, 2016, to February 12, 2017.
The donations and scholarships worth Bt40 million came from the sale of greeting cards and journals with drawings by HM the King.
