NRSA considers review of Constitution every 10 years

The National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) is considering a proposal to revise the Constitution every 10 years in a bid to ensure its relevancy.

The matter was among other issues proposed by the NRSA’s political reform committee to be part of the national strategy plan. They will be deliberated at the NRSA’s meeting on Monday.
The political reform committee proposed eight other points as part of the national strategy. Among them was the creation of an “ethics system” for political improvement and a “legitimacy system” to examine the work of government agencies in dealing with social and economic problems.
In addition, there were also points to improve difficulties in elections as well as to boost national harmony.
