PDRC return not challenge for leadership, says MP
Former Democrat MP Warong Dechgitvigrom insisted on Wednesday that a meeting held on Tuesday between Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and former members of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee was smooth, amid a speculation that the PDRC’s return was aimed to challenge the leader’s position.
Warong said on his Facebook page that “they were actually our brothers who had departed from the party to work for the country and when the time has come, they have returned home”.
Warong said the PDRC’s members assured him that their return had nothing to do with the challenge of the leader’s position.
The two sides also assured one another about their goals of reforming the country and fighting against what they call “the Thaksin regime”, Warong said.
