Man arrested for allegedly shooting dead ‘abusive’ son-in-law
Police arrested a Songkhla man for allegedly shooting his son-in-law dead two days ago for reportedly beating his wife, the man’s daughter.
Sukhon Woralaksit, 47, was arrested at his house in Ban Lamharn village in tambon Khuha in Songkhla’s Sabayoi district on Tuesday.
Two days ago, a man’s body was found on a road in Songkhla’s Na Thawee district.
Police checked his fingerprints and found that he was Sunthorn Momphadliang, 30, from Songkhla’s Thepha district.
Police learned that Sunthorn often quarrelled with Sukhon because he claimed Sunthorn regularly beat his daughter.
Under pressure from interrogators, Sukhon allegedly admitted that he shot the young man dead at about 2am when he rode a motorcycle to meet his daughter.
His daughter was not at home as she was tapping rubber trees.
He allegedly said he shot Sunthorn and carried his body in a pickup truck and discarded it in Na Thawee.
