Bunker oil factory hit by fire in Ratchaburi

Bunker oil factory hit by fire in Ratchaburi

A fire broke out last night in an unused factory in Ratchaburi which was previously used to make bunker oil from recycled tyres.

Police said the fire started at 9.45pm at the Engernery factory in Moo 5 in Tambon Donsai.
It took firefighters more than two hours to bring the blaze under control.
Police said the building had many used tyres inside and part of the building collapsed due to the severity of the fire.
Noppadol Jiewrungphaisarn, 52, the owner of the building, said the factory made bunker oil from recycled tyres. He said the factory had ceased operation several months ago and he did not know how the fire occurred.
