Lao woman, two Thais implicated in Rangsit drug-deal bust

A Lao woman has been arrested near Bangkok for allegedly possessing 30,000 methamphetamine tablets and 500 grams of crystal meth with the intent to sell.

The illicit drugs are worth more than Bt2.15 million.
Police arrested the suspect, Pudsatorn Kingsada, in front of a shopping complex in the Rangsit area on Saturday in a sting operation.
Pudsatorn attempted to deliver drugs to undercover agents while apparently taking orders from a man on the phone.
“She has confessed that she was paid Bt20,000 for the delivery,” Patrol and Special Operation Division’s chief Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpan said on Sunday. “But she claims it was her first time.”
Based on her confession, police have identified two Thai suspects, Surakij Taebtong and Manit Wongwai.
According to police, they received tip-off about a drug-trafficking gang including a Lao suspect. Further leads about the gang enabled police to stage the sting operation on Saturday.
