Facebook uproar over theft of one-armed man’s all saving

Facebook users have demanded authorities take immediate action to help a one-armed man in Krabi province whose house was burglarised and Bt15,000 and Bt15,000 worth of valuables were stolen.

The plight of Suchart Choomkung, 59, was told by a Facebook user with the account name “Toon Thossapol Chaiyarit”.
The Facebook post revealed that Suchart lost his left arm in a road accident and he earned money by making animal balloons and selling them. 
He lives with his wife who cannot work due to brain defect and they have to take care of two grandchildren, the post said.
The post said that on the day of the burglary, last Thursday, Suchart went to sell balloons at Ao Nang Beach and left his wife alone at their rented house in tambon Krabi Noi in Muang district.
The wife left the house to buy something to eat, at which time thieves struck.
Suchart told reporters he cannot receive a monthly allowance for the disabled because he does not have an identification card.
He said all is savings had been stolen.
