Fraud charge against ‘Boy Unity’ over Porsche dropped

Fraud charge against ‘Boy Unity’ over Porsche dropped

Embattled super-car importer Panusak Techaterasiri, who is also known as Intharasak or “Boy Unity”, was given a reprieve on Tuesday as former Lop Buri MP Amnuay Khlangpha on Tuesday morning had a representative withdraw a 2012 fraud complaint related to a Porsche sports car.

Panusak, managing director of STT Auto Service Co, went to the Crime Suppression Division (CSD) in the afternoon to collect a copy of the complaint’s withdrawal. He said that he knew Amnuay had filed the fraud charge against him but he did not understand why police had recently obtained an arrest warrant for “public fraud” in relation to the case.
The 36-year-old Panusak was arrested last Wednesday on a public fraud charge outside the Central Criminal Court for Corruption and Misconduct Cases after he filed a suit against the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) over May 24 raids of his showrooms, in which more than 30 vehicles were seized.
He was granted Bt300,000 bail the next day on the condition that he did not leave the country without permission from the court.
Panusak also said that he had already gathered documents about the luxury cars in question to submit to DSI investigators to prove his innocence and would hold a press conference to provide details later.
