NRSA approves overhaul of parliamentary-related operations

NRSA approves overhaul of parliamentary-related operations

The National Reform Steering Assembly on Monday voted to accept the recommendation report to reform parliamentary- related operations including the proposal to cut short curriculums arranged by King Prajadhipok's Institute that critics argue are used to make political connections.

The NRSA wants KPI to serve only parliamentarians and ensure that its curriculums are made for them.
Critics have said KPI’s curriculums do not promote political science.
Some NRSA members heatedly debated KPI’s future mission before voting in favour of the recommendation report.
The report calls for the cutting of budgets to support oversea trips made by parliamentarians as some trips are viewed as a waste of state money.
Parliamentarians can now only go on trips related to parliamentary business.
