Four arrest warrants issues for murder of 63-year-old man

Bangkok’s Ratchadapisek Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for four men for their alleged roles in the fatal assault of Sajja Prasai, a 63-year-old driver of a commuter passenger truck, on Saturday night.

Arthit Sondonprai, 25, and Surachet Phojad, 29, are wanted for the charges of simple assault, deadly assault and intrusion into a residence at night, while Ampol Khlangthong, 32, and Narongchai Rakluan, 29, face charges of simple assault and nighttime intrusion.
Police applied for the warrants based on CCTV recordings of the Saturday night incident in Soi Chokchai 4 where Sajja was assaulted by two attackers.
Sajja reportedly was hiding in an apartment after fleeing from the attackers, with whom he had had an argument.
Two residents and a security guard tried to intervene and capture Arthit and Surachet as they were fleeing on a motorbike when they were assaulted by the pair and the other two men who had arrived on another motorcycle.
The four men then fled as police were alerted.
Sajja was rushed to hospital but he succumbed to a fatal head injury.
