With the Royal Cremation Ceremonies of HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej just a few months away, preparations for the important events are going ahead at full steam.

Office of the Traditional Arts, for example, has already been creating many elaborate sculptures and fine-arts items for the Royal ceremonies. Sculptures of Garuda and legendary creatures are getting full colours and finishing touches.

At the Royal Thai Army’s Ordnance School, hundreds of troops are practising hard for the mission of hauling royal chariots during the Royal Cremation Ceremonies. A full-dress rehearsal will take place on July 13.
