One arrest in predawn Bangkok drug raids, 0.5g of ketamine seized

The Office of Narcotics Control Board, the Patrol and Special Operation (191) Division and the Second Cavalry Division dispatched over 150 officers to search 13 areas in Bangkok early Tuesday morning.

The so-called “1386 Operation”, which aims to free Thailand of narcotics, was launched at 4.30am.
It was jointly launched by ONCB secretary-general Sirinya Sitthichai, Maj-General Chalermpol Sisawat, deputy commander of the cavalry division, and Pol Colonel Nithitorn Jintakanon, deputy commander of the 191 division.
The 191 division deployed its elite anti-terrorist Arintharat unit to join the operation.
The officers searched seven spots in Phra Khanon district, two spots in Suan Luang district, two spots in Din Daeng district, one spot in Yannawa district and another spot in Pathumwan district.
At about 6am, the officers arrested Nattawut Chanmee, 26, at his house on Soi Borpit Witthaya School off Soi Sukhumvit 62 in Phra Khanon district. The officials seized a 11mm pistol and six rounds of ammunition and 0.5 gram of ketamine.
