Bt1.7-bn budget proposed for high-speed rail design
The Transport Ministry has proposed to the Cabinet a Bt1.7 billion price tag for the design of the high-speed rail project.
It followed the Cabinet’s approval last week of the Bt179 billion Sino-Thai high-speed rail project linking Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima province.
Thailand and China are expected to sign the contract for the project’s construction in September, followed by construction of the project’s first 3.5 kilometres.
