Truck driver killed, helper injured in collision in Nakhon Ratchasima

A truck driver was killed and his helper severely injured when his vehicle collided into the rear of another truck owned by the same company on Nakhon Ratchasima road early Friday.

Police say the driver, Adul Chipho, 35, died behind the wheel in the 3.16am accident. His helper, Piyawut Sariwan, 15, was severely injured. He was taken to the Nakhon Ratchasima Hospitasl.
Adul’s truck crashed into the rear of a truck driven by Sompit Ngernsoongnern, 36.
Sompit said he and Adul were driving together to Bangkok to load goods and he led the way. He said he slowed down at a road checkpoint but Adul did not slow down, leading to the crash.
