Documents destroyed in Krathumban district public health office

The public health officer in Samut Sakhon’s Krathumban district saw his office damaged in a fire early Saturday.

The fire broke out on the third floor of the Krathumban district office at 4:30 am. Ten fire engines took about an hour to put out the blaze.
Banphot Chantharawong, assistant district chief of Krathumban, said the office of the health officer was the only room damaged by the fire.
All of the official’s documents and a desktop computer were damaged.
The fire was discovered by Chalermpol Boonsane, 34, a government school teacher whose house is behind the district office. He said he heard windows shattering so he came out from his house to see the fire raging and alerted police.
