Vietnamese man with rhino horn arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport

Officials at Suvarnabhumi Airport's wildlife checkpoint apprehended a Vietnamese passenger who was bound for Luang Prabang in northern Laos along with a rhino horn which had been cut into five pieces on Tuesday afternoon. 

Vietnamese national Foong Ngab Ha, travelled from Angola and stopped for transit at Dubai and Bangkok before continuing to Luang Prabang. 
Officials questioned and searched the man at Suvarnabhumi Airport after an X-ray machine detected items suspected to be rhino horn parts in his two bags. They found the large rhino horn cut into five pieces.
The passenger was charged with violating the Wildlife Preservation and Protection Act, the Customs Act and the Animal Epidemics Act and was handed over to Suvarnabhumi Airport Police for further legal actions.
