91-year-old man killed in fire in Chiang Rai

Luai Inpun was staying with his son-in-law and a grandson at their home in Ban Pong Daeng in Tambon Sai Khao when the fire broke out.
After fire engines put out the blaze, firefighters found the charred body of Luai on the second floor of the house.
His son-in-law, Saneh Inthanachai, 60, told police that he and his son, Saneh Inthanachai, 17, were sleeping in a room next to Luai’s bedroom when they heard the old man shouting for help.
Saneh said he and his son saw a huge blaze inside Luai’s room, but they could not get past the flames to help Luai so they ran out of the house to alert police and wait for help.
