Prawit asks armed forces to monitor possible flooding in South
Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwant has instructed the armed forces on Friday to monitor the weather in six southern provinces and provide immediate help if floods or mudslides occur because of ongoing rains.
Defence Ministry spokesman Maj Gen Kongcheep Tantrawanit said the armed forces were told to monitor the rains in Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Trang and Satun closely.
They were told to cooperate with local government agencies and assist wherever necessary.
