His Majesty donates feed to Uthai Thani dog shelter
His Majesty the King has granted dog feed to Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s stray-dog shelter in Uthai Thani.
His Majesty sent AVM Thawatchai Srikaew, chief of the King’s animal care unit, to deliver the feed to the shelter in Moo 2 village in Tambon Khok Mor in Uthai Thani’s Tapphan district on Friday.
Thawatchai said His Majesty has mercy for stray dogs, abandoned dogs and disabled dogs, so the King wanted to show his moral support by granting food to the shelter.
The shelter is located on a 200-rai (32 hectare) plot and has capacity to take care of 800 dogs. So far, it has harboured some 5,000 dogs.
