Shops damaged by landslide at Golden Triangle viewpoint

The Nation Overnight rains triggered a landslide from a mountain in Chiang Rai province, damaging two souvenir shops at the Golden Triangle viewpoint which borders Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar.

Since the shops in the Chieng Saen district had not yet opened on Friday morning, there were no injuries from the landslide.
The debris blocked one lane of the road from some time.
Officials from Tambon Wieng Saen Municipality later cleaned up the road and helped vendors spruce up the area around their shops.
