King endorses civil service appointments

His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn has endorsed the appointments of three ministry permanent secretaries, five directors-general, three inspectors-general and three department directors. 

The Prime Minister’s Office announcement of the appointments was published in the Royal Gazette on September 6.
Charin Chakkapak, director-general of the Interior Ministry’s Local Administration Department, has been named permanent secretary of the Labour Ministry. 
Pol Colonel Narat Sawettanan, chief of the Justice Ministry’s Probation Department, becomes director-general of the Corrections Department. 
Witthawan Sunthornkhajit, adviser to the Office of the Narcotics Control Board, was appointed Justice Ministry inspector-general.
At the Commerce Ministry, Department of Business Development chief Bunjongjit Angsusing becomes deputy permanent secretary for commerce, succeeded in his post by inspector-general Kulanee Isadisai. 
Department of Trade Negotiations chief Boonyarit Kalayanamit was appointed director-general of the Department of Internal Trade, and inspector-general Janthira Yimraewat Wiwatrat director-general of the Department of International Trade Promotion.
His Majesty also endorsed the promotion of two deputy permanent secretaries as permanent secretaries – Thammayos Srichuay at the Energy Ministry and Lertwiroj Kowattana at the Agriculture Ministry.
At the Finance Ministry, Fiscal Policy Office director Krisada Chinavicharana becomes Excise Department director-general, succeeded by Public Debt Management Office director Suwit Rojanavanich. 
Deputy permanent secretary Prapas Kong-ied was appointed director of the Public Debt Management Office and inspector-general Narin Kalayanamit deputy permanent secretary for Finance. 
Fiscal Policy Office adviser Banthornchome Kaewsa-ard and State Enterprise Policy Office adviser Poomsak Aranyakasemsuk were appointed Finance Ministry inspectors-general. 
Ministry of Digital Economy and Society permanent secretary Wilailak Chuleewattanakul was named a PM’s Office special inspector-general.
Bureau of the Budget deputy director Dechapiwat Na Songkhla was appointed the bureau’s director.
Kamol Rodkhlai, Secretary-General at the Office of the Education Council, became a special adviser in the PM’s Office on August 27. 
All the other appointments take effect on October 1.
