Two men die in mysterious Ayutthaya motorbike accident

The bodies of two men were found on a guardrail of a pedestrian bridge in Ayutthaya’s Bang Pa-in district early Tuesday morning.

Police don’t know if the motorbike the men were riding was hit by another vehicle or if it were a single-vehicle accident.
It appears that the impact of the accident hurled the men against guardrail of the bridge in front of Karunvej Hospital on Asia Road.
A passer-by, Sarayut Kijnimit, told police he road his motorcycle past the bridge at about 2.30am and he saw the motorcycle lying on the road under the bridge.
He said he stopped and saw the bodies.
Satrayut said he dared not take a closer look and asked security guards at the hospital to check and they determined that the men were dead.
An ID card identified one of the victims as Weerasak Phayachai, 19, of Bang Pa-in. The other man was unidentified.
Lieutenant Athikom Thongdaeng, deputy inspector of Bang Pa-in Police Station, said police do not know yet what caused the accident.
