Don Muang District Court on Saturday ruled in favour of the District Attorney&rsquo;s charge that Somchai Panbutr had committed animal cruelty for forcing a dog to run about two kilometres and causing injury to the dog&rsquo;s feet and exhaustion. 
Somchai was arrested on Friday and the dog sent for treatment at a veterinary hospital. 
After Somchai confessed to his crime in court, the judge suspended his jail term.

Man sentenced to jail, fined for animal cruelty

A man, who chained a dog to his motorcycle and forced it to run, was sentenced to six months in jail and a Bt10,000 fine over a charge of animal cruelty.
