Two cops suspected of planning to get rid of ‘Yingluck’s getaway car’

A police source has said two policemen in Nakhon Pathom were assigned to dispose of a Toyota Camry allegedly drove former prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra to the Cambodian border in her flight from justice.

They and a police colonel serving in a deputy commander’s post were interrogated at Royal Thai Police headquarters on Thursday night. They were freed hours later, early on Friday morning.
The source said Deputy Police Commissioner General Pol General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul did the questioning and determined that a police inspector and a senior sergeant major had been assigned to dispose of the vehicle Yingluck allegedly used to escape.
The car was found in Nakhon Pathom and also taken to Royal Thai Police headquarters on Thursday.
Srivara also learned that the police colonel had acted as Yingluck’s driver in the flight to Sa Kaeo, from where she is believed to have crossed the border.
