Woman arrested with 30,000 meth pills, 21kg of ‘ice’

A woman was arrested after 30,000 methamphetamine pills and 21 kilograms of crystal meth were found in a drugs raid of her house in Samut Prakan’s Bang Plee district late on Thursday night.

Special Operation and Patrol Division police arrested Alisa Boonya-in, 28, under a warrant issued by the Criminal Court on September 6.
A source said police sought the warrant following an arrest of three Laotian men with 10,000 meth pills on June 29. The three said they were about to deliver the drug to Alisa at her house on Soi Onnuj 88/3 in Bangkok’s Prawet district. Police raided the house but she had fled.
The special operation police, also known as the 191 police, raided the house in Samut Prakan at 11pm after they learned that Alisa was hiding there.
Alisa claimed that she was not a drugs boss. She said she was hired by a Laotian drug boss to store the drug and deliver it to clients in Bangkok as ordered by the boss.
