Omsin mum on Pongporn’s move back to NBO

Omsin mum on Pongporn’s move back to NBO

PM’s Office Minister Omsin Chiwaphruek yesterday declined to comment on the return of Pol Lt-Colonel Pongporn Pramsneh as chief of the National Buddhism Office (NBO).

On Tuesday, the Cabinet re-installed Pongporn at the helm of the NBO after agreeing to Omsin’s proposal to transfer him weeks earlier.
Not only has Pongporn has won back his top post at the NBO, but Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has also decided to take away supervision of the NBO from Omsin. Deputy Prime Minister General Thanasak Patimaprakorn has now been assigned to oversee the NBO.
“I am not supervising the NBO operations any more, so I don’t have any comment on Pornporn’s comeback,” Omsin said.
He insisted that he did not feel slighted by the latest development.
