Cloud cover delays landings at Khon Kaen airport

Five flights were unable to land at Khon Kaen International Airport Friday morning because of poor visibility amid low rainclouds.

Airport officials there said the flights were redirected to Udon Thani International Airport and waited between one and two hours before they could complete their journeys to Khon Kaen.
Nok Air Flight FD3252 from Don Mueang Airport was scheduled to land at 6.50am, Nok Air DD9806 from Don Mueang at 7.20, AirAsia FC 5500 from Chiang Mai at 7.30, AirAsia FD3250 at 8, and Thai Smiles WE 040 from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 8.25.
AirAsia FD5500 was able to make a landing in Khon Kaen at 9.15 and the others soon after.
