Road closed in lead-up to Royal Cremation

Bangkok’s Rajdamnoen Nai Avenue and Sanam Luang will be off-limits to people and vehicles until October 31 due to preparations for the Royal Cremation ceremonies of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej later this month.

Starting on Sunday, the areas will be open to authorised officials and persons only.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration said it needed to close the area for landscape adjustment and security preparations.
The Royal Cremation Ceremonies for much-revered King Bhumibol will take place between October 25 and 29.
