A bird’s-eye view shows 450,000 marigold plants in bloom on a 50-rai (eight-hectare) plot in Kanchanaburi’s Muang district that has been landscaped to form the Thai number “9” as part of the “Thung Daoreung Ruamjaipak”, or “Field of Marigold: Unity in Loyalty”, tribute to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

The field will be open to the public from Friday to October 20 before the marigold plants are harvested to decorate state offices in time for the Royal Cremation ceremonies to be held from October 25 to 29.
